Snow with Olympus E-P1

Went out this morning with the Olympus E-P1 fitted with the Panasonic Lumix 14-140 zoom. It was very cold and I didn't want to do any lens changes with freezing fingers.
I was interested as to how the lens would work with the camera but after being out for a while I wished I hadn't taken it.
Having to compose with the screen was difficult as I was working in bright sunshine and found it very difficult to see.

The most common criticism of cameras that I get from from my friends and family is the problem of seeing the screen in sunlight. My brother and sister-in-law recently came back back from a trip to Cyprus and talked about how difficult they found it. They are considering a new camera and the most important thing for them is a viewfinder.

The Olympus is a great camera and takes excellent images but the lack of a viewfinder makes taking images, under certain circumstances, unnecessarily difficult.

I would like to use the E-P1 more but I feel it may have somewhat limited use, because of this problem.
The E-P2 apparently has an excellent viewfinder & I will probably change to that once it becomes available in the UK.
