Another busy day started, after a period of rain, with a visit to a swan nesting site. Swans in quantity are aggressive birds, particularly at feeding time. However here are two peaceful pictures.
Location - Abbotsbury Swannery, Dorset.

The local village looks ideal, but is one of those places where there's no pavement and the cars are too close. In summer they get very crowded, and for some reason there are numerous shops wanting to sell you an antique or a painting. Getting a loaf of bread can be difficult, but original work of art, no problem.

The Dorset coast, westwards from Chesil Beach is mainly shingle, and difficult to walk on. I'm afraid I couldn't resist the beach huts again.

The final destination was West Bay at Bridport. Normally not the most scenic of locations but with incredible late evening light was a delight to photograph.

If you are ever in Bridport, West Bay I can thoroughly recommend the Sea Bass with Lime and Ginger fishcakes at the Snack Shack by the harbour. Absolutely the best Fish and Chips I've ever had.
