It's always been my contention that certain Nikon prime lenses are amongst the best lenses ever made. When people talk about using alternative and legacy lenses on m4/3 cameras, Leica and other m-mount lenses crop up frequently, but Nikon's are mentioned much less often.
I've just got a cheap Nikon F > m4/3 adapter off ebay and I tried a 24mm f/2.8D and my old favourite, the 50mm f/1.2 MF lenses on my E-PL1.

For me, these Nikons are every bit as good as m-mount lenses I've used, and these test pictures are as good as anything I've ever got from m4/3 with alternative / legacy lenses. Beautifully sharp with great colour, they show what the Olympus / Panasonic sensor is capable of with really good primes. If you can cope with manual focus, hunting around for some Nikon S/H bargains can be a rewarding experience.
